I first found out about craniosynotosis when my daughter Hailey was diagnosed in my third trimester of pregnancy. I immediatly broke down and bursted into tears, to find out my little baby needed to have surgery so young I was in denial. My otherwise healthy pregnancy immediately changed to high risk, and I had to change doctors and hospitals. When Hailey was born my whole world changed, she is a little fighter and made me a stonger person and mom. I know she will be ok because she has God watching over her. She is a warrior and I am proud to be her mom.
Every hour a child in the US is born with a Cranial facial condition. 95% of them will undergo multiple surgeries and long-term medical care throughout their childhood and into their adult life. myFace is here to help them. myFace is an organization dedicated to transforming the lives of patients with facial differences by helping to fund medical, surgical, dental, speech and psychosocial services. We ensure that our patients and families have access to cutting-edge, comprehensive care from the world-class practitioners of The myFace Center for Craniofacial Care at NYU Langone Health. We also fund research and public awareness efforts, as we know, the more people who know about craniofacial conditions and the work we do, the more patients we can help! By walking with us at Races for Faces, you allow us to continue to support the critical care we provide, bringing thousands of children and families hope for a brighter tomorrow, while enabling them to lead more fulfilling lives.
