Habitat’s Spring Walk provides an opportunity for you to help eliminate substandard housing in our midcoast Maine communities. This annual event is Habitat’s largest fundraiser to support our mission to build, repair, and weatherize homes.
Due to COVID-19 we have turned the Spring Walk to Build into a virtual event. We need your help to make it a success!
INSTEAD of gathering the Spring Walk is going virtual and will take place online, through the mail, and at each individual participant’s favorite walking place (socially distanced of course). We really need your help to make this event as successful as possible. We hope you can join in and keep Habitat building and repairing homes. We look forward to all being together again in the future when it is safe.
Here’s How it Will Work
Be a Walker and Help us Fundraise:
Register to walk online here by clicking the Join button. You can walk anytime between May 15th and June 30th. Walk anywhere you choose, on your treadmill, around the house, your yard, the neighborhood, or on a trail, as long as you are safely distanced from others.
We invite you to document your participation and post a photo or video of your walk on our Face Book page https://www.facebook.com/Habitat7RiversMaine .
Donations to the walk from you and your supporters can be made here on the Spring Walk to Build event site. Share this link with your friends, family, co-workers, church other organizational members and ask them to give. Donations can also be mailed to Habitat for Humanity/7 Rivers Maine, 126 Maine Street, Suite #1, Topsham ME 04086.
Be a Donor:
If you cannot walk but want to support Habitat through this event, please make a donation. We really need your support!
Be a Business Donor:
We also ask area businesses to help support this important community event. Join other local businesses that have sponsored our walk over the years to support the construction of over 50 affordable homes and weatherizing and repair for more than 600 existing homeowners.
Your donation provides critical support that keep our teams of volunteers working on projects in your community.
