This year will mark our 4th Annual Women Build supporting affordable home ownership opportunities in Harford and Cecil counties! Last year, our campaign was halted as it fell just as the COVID19 pandemic hit. Despite our focus being consumed with the new virus, and our inability to gather together for our usual fundraising and building competition, the teams still raised $15,296!
We are so grateful for (and impressed by) our Women Build teams and donors.
Single mom, Kokeeta, shown here with her family will be purchasing the Women Build home. You can learn more about her and her journey here. By participating in the Women Build, you are helping Kokeeta and her family fulfill the dream of purchasing their own affordable home. You can also purchase 50/50 raffle tickets for only $10 or 3 for $25 here. If your ticket is chosen, you will win half the money raised and the other half will go toward building Kokeeta's home.
The fundraising competition will run from April 1-April 30th and the team which raises the most will, once again, receive the Tacky Hammer Award with their team name and photo on it to be proudly displayed in the team leaders home or office.
*** IMPORTANT, IF YOU'D LIKE TO DONATE TO A SPECIFIC TEAM, PLEASE SCROLL DOWN AND CLICK ON THAT TEAM'S NAME AND THEN MAKE YOUR DONATION ***
Members of the winning team, who donate & share their team page, will be treated to lunch with their team, and the winning team leader will receive a $50 Visa Gift card.
The build activity will be virtual this year - a sponsor, decorate & share a "stud" contest. Each team will be invited to receive a stud to be used in Kokeeta’s home.
Teams will decorate and share their “stud” on Facebook for online voting the first week of May. Winning team members, who donate, share their team page and help decorate the stud, will be treated to lunch with their team.
This year we will sell 50/50 raffle tickets and tickets can be purchased here. The winning ticket will receive half the money raised and the other half will go toward building Kokeeta’s home.
