During this difficult time, as we all continue to battle Covid-19, our Habitat Families both current and future are relying on us even more. With the unknown and ever changing situation, the mounting job losses, more stress is being put on families especially those living in unhealthy or unsafe conditions. It is important for us to do what we can. Please help us help them.
This year's Habitat whole home renovation project is the future home of Mom, Kelly, and her daughter. Demolition of the home started in September 2019. The house was gutted down to the studs and the chimney was removed to create a modern open concept main floor. Both front and back decks have been refinished. New HVAC, electrical and plumbing has been installed along with new windows and doors.
Due to the recent COVID-19 situation, Habitat for Humanity Sarnia/Lambton made the difficult decision to cease all building and renovating of homes, including Kelly's home, for the safety of the staff and families. Kitchen cabinets had been delivered and were to be installed. As well, Kelly and her daughter had recently picked their paint colours and the painting, flooring and trim were next to be started. 100% of your donation stays local in Sarnia/Lambton and at this time can help us get back on track so that Kelly and her daughter can move into their newly renovated home without further delay.
