Gursumeet was born on May 20th, 1998 in Surrey, British Columbia, Canada. He was the best son and best brother one could hope for. Gursumeet had a great laugh. He was a lot wiser than his age. He believed that we should always be happy and should not worry about small stuff. He always had a smile on his face and would light the room with his presence.
He was kind, honest and brave kid with a huge heart. He was selfless, always holding other's interest above his. Following his diagnosis on February 15th, 2014, Gursumeet fought with bravery and integrity. He wanted to overcome this disease and was so eager to go back to his school and see his friends but he lost his fight with brain cancer and passed away on the evening of May 13th, 2014 at the National Institute of Health Hospital in Bethesda.
He was sophomore at Patriot High School in Nokesville, VA. Gursumeet loved watching and playing sports. His favorite teams were the Redskins, Canucks, Liverpool Football Club, Real Madrid, and AS Roma. He was also a student at DCMPAA, a bhangra academy. Since childhood, he loved to dance to Punjabi music. He also loved rap music. He was always interested in politics. He was a democrat and made hundreds of calls for President Obama in 2012.
His family is devastated by this loss and is missing him immensely. May God rest his soul.
You'll never walk alone (YNWA), Gursumeet.
