Even though our physical campus is unavailable during this crisis, Guadalupe Center remains a beacon of hope and a resource for families in times of need. Teachers and staff are working to identify and address the immediate needs of our students and families. Our priorities are helping parents understand the actions needed for virtual learning, providing academic resources and working to maintain student progress. Guadalupe Center is determined to move our mission forward.
Unlike the challenges we have faced in the past, changing the how of providing services during this time takes great creativity, thought and care. Our method of delivery has changed but our focus remains on preparing students for academic success and economic independence. We know Guadalupe Center is their lifeline and we will not let them down.
Guadalupe Center is a purpose-driven organization - driven to create endless possibilities for the students of Immokalee by providing high-quality educational programs.
We work with the children of Immokalee, helping them see they have what it takes to overcome the profound challenges of living in an impoverished community. And we do it through education. At every key educational milestone, Guadalupe Center is there.
Starting from as young as six weeks old, we help children through their early childhood develop the social, emotional and academic foundation to be kindergarten ready. Then, we are by their side in those early elementary years, building up strong reading skills – so they can read to learn. And when students enter high school, we give them the skills, resources and confidence to become first generation college graduates.
Guadalupe Center empowers more than 1,400 students each year to become independent thinkers and life-long learners who positively influence their diverse communities and others.
With a mission of breaking the cylce of poverty through education, Guadalupe Center has been serving the Immokalee community since 1982.
