On this World Radiography Day (8th November!), we may be complaining that ‘the scanner is down again!’ or ‘the detector isn’t working again!’. But did you know that WHO estimates that 1/3 of the global population has very limited access to any kind of medical imaging?
3-4 billion people are at risk for widespread losses & deaths that can be avoided if imaging was available, according to the WHO.
Rad-Aid are a non-profit organisation aligned with WHO to answer this need for more radiology and imaging technology in the resource-limited regions & communities of the world. And we want to raise money for their incredible work.
You can either donate to run, or sponsor us for getting up on a cold (likely rainy!) Saturday morning in december to run 5k dressed as skeletons.
