Grow In Harmony Community Garden is our local community helping our local community, in direct response to the coronavirus.
COVID-19 is highlighting a breakdown in food supply chains and a drastic rise in unemployment resulting in hundreds of families in Columbia County desperately needing food assistance.
We’re working collaboratively with the Recovery Kitchen in Hudson who are delivering over 800 meals a week, and with the CC Sanctuary Movement. With our WOOFers, Volunteers, and friends we are creating a large 80’ x 160’ garden which will provide fresh, organically grown, nutrient-dense food for persons experiencing food insecurity due to loss of income, quarantine, or short supply at their usual market.
Grow In Harmony Garden is the brainchild of HD Hilton, providing land on his farm, Earth Tapestry, in Kinderhook. His holistic gardening wisdom is creating the plan to grow 9,000-12,000 lbs. of vegetables for donation to anyone who is in need of organically grown food, and a safe caring place to come together to make a systemic change for food sovereignty.
Our economy and our systems that we know are crashing quickly.
WE ARE RISING!
