I am excited to announce that I will be running the 124th Boston Marathon for the Gronk Nation Foundation. I am honored to be a part of a charity that is dedicated to inspiring and supporting our youth. Empowering young people to be positively involved in sports is something that will remain near and dear to my heart. Growing up, soccer was a huge part of my life - in many ways it helped to mold me into the person I am today. I could not be happier to run the 2020 Boston Marathon to help support children and their pursuits in sports, school and the community.
The Gronk mission is centered upon helping today’s youth to stay actively involved in school and sports. Part of that mission is focused on providing kids with some of the tools that they will need to follow their dreams and live a happy and more successful life. The purpose of the Foundation is to contribute financial resources to select nonprofit organizations that effectively serve and benefit children with an emphasis on health, education and fitness.
Over the course of Rob’s football career, Gronk Nation Youth Foundation has helped to support many youth programs throughout the New England and Buffalo regions including Boston, Somerville, Brockton, and Lynn. Rob continues to give back through his family foundation, and has also supported Children’s Hospital Boston and other New England nonprofits; Dreamfar High School Marathon and Cristo Rey School to name a few.
