This race holds a lot of meaning for our family. I, Greta’s mom, grew up in Duluth and was introduced to running by my dad. When I mentioned that Greta wanted to run in the Park Point Five Miler, my dad came out of his “running retirement” to support Greta. He will literally push her to overcome physical limits. My young-at- heart dad, seems to have forgotten that he has earned the right to sit back and cheer. Instead is right next to Greta experiencing life’s joys with her.
Greta loves adventure, people, and good old fun! Her Grandpa Ron has been one of her biggest cheerleaders since the day she was born.
Now it’s time to cheer for both of these amazing people. Help us bring opportunities like this to more people in the Duluth area. Please consider donating what you can to the My Team Triumph Organization. Your donation will allow the Duluth Chapter of My Team Triumph access to more race entries and racing chairs. If you can make it to the race, come out and cheer for Captain Greta and her Angel Grandpa Ron.
