Greetings and thank you so much for considering supporting my captain Gregory and me for the 2019 InTandem Five Boro Bike Tour Campaign. InTandem is one of my favorite organizations, becuase it provides opportunities for people, like me, who are blind, have low vision, or cannot ride independently due to other disabilities. My captiain, Gregory enables me to not only ride, but participate in the best bike tour in the world!
This is our second time around and we are super excited to burn rubber on a beautiful tandem bike across New York's Five Boroughs. We had so much fun riding in the past, we had to do it again! I mean, who wouldn’t? Cruising through the streets of Manhattan with all the tall skyscrapers surrounding you, through the iconic Central Park, up into the boogie down Bronx, over into the ethnic Astoria queens (where we stopped for coffee last time becuase it was FREEZING!), down into Brooklyn and across the monstrous Verrazano Narrows Bridge. Once we hit the Verazano's summit, we enjoyed the smooth sailing and the breeze of victory into Staten Island… If you haven’t already experienced this ride, it’s a MUST for anyone, but especially for New Yorkers.
