Hello my name is Terry.
I was diagnosed with graves disease around October of 2016 which changed my entire life. for 42 years ive never been sick maybe a common cold and that was very rare for me. At the beginning of 2016 me and my wife bought a new home. in the process of moving i could only move a couple of items and i would have to sit down and take a break, didn’t make much since to me but i just summed it up to getting older and getting lazy. Shortly after i started having hot flashes. even went to the ER and they couldn’t find anything as time went on i started getting to the point i couldn’t walk 300ft. I was shaking, up all night, double vision, heat and cold intolerance. I started loosing weight to the point I went from 190 to 173 LBS, on many occasions I thought I was have a heart attack, my blood pressure would spike to the point I had to lay down my heart rate would jump up to 180 BPM and I would be doing nothing but sitting their. by this time I had made many trips to ER. They did test after test after test on me. Everything come back normal other than I had high calcium and dehydrated and liver enzymes were slightly elevated. After many to the ER and my doctor they thought I had HYPER thyroid but didn’t understand what was going on with me and why. I finally went into a thyroid storm after 4 month of trying to figure out what was wrong with me. At that point my Dr got me into an endoconoligest with in a week. After talking to the endo she started me on medication, She thought I had Graves after the test it turned out she was right after about a month my symptoms started subsiding. Still today I have my good days and bad days. i have started playing a couple of games on PS4 and streaming to help keep my mind off of how i feel and it has worked for me.
