We are fundraising money for the Michigan Lupus Foundation (MLF)! The team is currently fundraising for the John Ball Zoo walk event August 3rd. Please help us reach our goal!
What is Lupus?
Lupus is a chronic autoimmune disease that causes the body to attack its own tissues and organs. It can affect any part of the body causing widespread pain and inflammation. Common symptoms include fatigue, fever, and joint pain. Lupus affects each patient differently, and it may go into periods of flares and remissions. Although there is no cure for lupus, there are many treatments available to help decrease disease activity. It is important to keep in mind that following medication regimens, maintaining a tolerable amount of daily activity, and making healthy lifestyle choices can help to decrease disease progression.
