I remember the first time I saw the horrible mess that a bad storm, a hurricane can leave, there was a kid outside of her house with her mom, but her house was gone. It was on the news that my mom was trying to turn off, I was "too young". But that is when I learned about the Red Cross and how they came to help people and get them through, that year I raised money for them. This year I have watched the news, and it hasn't been just one bad storm, not two, but many tornados, leaving lots of mess and sadness. The worst part, I don't think it has stopped yet, even in recovery these people have to be ready for more. The Red Cross is there, what a wonderful group of people. But, why, does this keep happening, why is it getting it worse, and why is nobody paying attention? I have decided thow my support this year behind trying to stop the cause of all this chaos. It isn't hard to read about global warming and why it's happening. It's also not hard to see that what the scientist's have been predicting for many years when you look back. All of this beauty in our world, we are killing it. For this reason I want to raise money for the The Nature Conservancy, their priority "Tackle Climate Change." This is a time of climate emergency, and we need to really look at it like that. Go to their website, they give you more info on how to help, www.nature.org . We can make a difference, really, if we all do it together, I think this world is pretty beautiful, you probably do to. I don't want to always have heaps of rain cause of all the moisture in the air...trust me I read about this. The more you read the scarier it gets. How anyone can say it's not real, it's crazy to me. My uncle Billy has a company United Renewable Energy that he started in 2006, putting in solar farms, helping companies go solar, and homeowners go solar. What a huge awesome positive impact on the environment! My uncle, and my aunt Shana are moving mountains, could you please help me move at least a few large hills? Each step helps, I'm turning 12 years old, I want to stop the problem, so the Red Cross, our fantastic, faithful helpers can get some help BEFORE the storm comes. Thank you.
