As part of the Shenendehowa School District in upstate NY, we are far away from the real life aftermath many of the hurricanes have left parts of the country throughout this past year.
It wasn't until our eyes were opened after reading about the hurricanes that struck Puerto Rico & the Carolinas that we realized a greater need to help. These natural disasters have wrecked homes, stores, villages, towns and even entire cities. They have caused hospitals to shut down, leaving many people and animals uncared for.
Until seeing images of it all, it was hard to realize how serious the flooding & distruction was. How wide spread the power outages, lack of gasoline for cars, & even ATMs shutting down were; leaving many places unliveable & bankrupt.
Worst of all, many of these storms left families separated and displaced. So after agreeing on connecting with the American Red Cross and their relief efforts, it has become our team's hope to help raise any amount of money to give back to those communities and people in need.
