My name is Tylor Matson and I am coordinating this effort with my good friend and colleague, Jay Stubbs. Jay and I have been given the opportunity to organize a Service Project as a part of our graduate curriculum at Southern Methodist University (SMU). We have family and friends in the Armed Forces and are both employed at Lockheed Martin, a US defense contractor with strong ties to the US military community. As we are approaching Veterans Day, we chose to partner with the Airborne Angel Cadets of Texas for this service project.
Airborne Angel Cadets of Texas is a nonprofit organization located in Northern Texas that sends care packages to our troops in Afghanistan, Iraq, Africa, Eastern Europe, Mideast and Southwest Asia. Their Mission Statement is:
“To support American men and women serving abroad in harm's way by supplying them with goodies, needs and comforts of home, along with thoughts and prayers, to let them know that we, at home, care and support them and that they are not forgotten.”
This page was created to gather funds to cover the large postage costs associate with shipping these care packages which is Airborne Angel Cadet’s greatest need. We are also working to gather the physical supplies through other means. That being said, if you would prefer to send us physical items or have any questions please reach out to us at the following email addresses:
We will be able to work with you to get your items to the Airborne Angel Cadets.
