July is Sarcoma Awareness Month. Sarcoma is still considered to be the "forgotten cancer." Because of this, research, drug development efforts, and fundraising suffer due to lack of awareness and knowledge about sarcoma. Let's help change that!
Sarcoma awareness is near and dear to my heart as my beloved Dad passed away last year due to a high grade metastatic chondrosarcoma. His disease progressed incredibly quickly and treatment options were few. Like many, I wasn't very familiar with sarcoma until I had to be when my dad received his diagnosis. I'd love to see more dollars dedicated to research and treatment options and even a cure that could help others with a challenging sarcoma diagnosis.
For each stack of yellow books with the #SunnyStackForSarcoma hashtag in the month of July, I will donate $1 (up to $500) to the Sarcoma Foundation of America in honor of my dad, Jim Hastie. Please join me in posting your sunny book stacks to spread the word and create awareness!
If you don't want to post a book stack but still want to join in, please feel free to make a donation here as well!
