On April 15th, I will be running the 2019 Boston Marathon with a team of individuals participating on behalf of Good Sports. By providing brand-new equipment to youth organizations in high-poverty areas, Good Sports gives kids in need the chance to experience the lifelong benefits of sports and physical activity.
The Boston Marathon has always been a bucket list race for me. My mom has completed it ten times, and my parents were both there during the tragic events of 2013. I helped co-produce a 16-track musical album with Brian Brown in conjunction with UMEG Management and Productions to help raise money for the Boston Marathon Bombing Victims in 2013 and 2014, and am now participating in another great fundraiser related to this fantastic race and city.
I sit on the Chicago Young Professionals Board for Good Sports, and I couldn't be more excited to raise money for an organization I truly believe in as part of the marathon process! Sports have had a profound impact on my life. Many of the life lessons I learned and friendships I made while growing up were at an ice rink or on a baseball diamond. I am grateful that I had the opportunity to participate in athletics, and I can't think of a better team than Good Sports to partner with on my road to the Boston Marathon!
I hope you will join me by making a donation today! You can make your donation by clicking “Donate Now” on the right side at the top of this page. Every contribution counts, and there will be so many children who are grateful for your donation. Thank you for your consideration!
