Andddd, it's happening. I am extremely excited to announce that I will be running the 2019 Boston Marathon. I am running to benefit Good Sports, a charity whose mission is to provide new athletic equipment & apparel to youth organizations, sports teams and children in high need areas so they can experience the longlasting benefit of sports.
As a youth soccer coach for several years, I have observed first-hand how sports have the ability create a positive impact on children's health, social environment, and confidence. I believe that both children and young adults that participate in sports have the opportunity to build a solid foundation of leadership and social skills that can be utilized in all aspects of their lives. Not only do sports benefit individuals, but they provide benefits to their surrounding communities as well! They simply speak the universal language of bringing people together and that my friends, is a beautiful thing.
I truly don't know where I'd be without participating in sports or physical activity throughout my life. From the stress free childhood days to my short-lived collegiate career, sports have shaped me into the disciplined, hard-working invididual I am today. I have my parents to thank the most for that. Now, I would like to pay it forward and give children the chance to embrace their passion, like I once did.
Please join me in making a donation today to support my journey as a first time Boston Marathon runner and more importantly, to create a positive impact at children's lives through the benefits that sports can create. Thank you all for your consideration!!

Information about Good Sports Below:
Good Sports believes kids who play do better. They become more confident, make new friends, are more engaged in the classroom and decrease their risk of obesity and other health-related diseases. The problem? Increased pay-to-play costs and limited Physical Education budgets prevent kids in need from playing sports and being active. High equipment costs limit youth organizations’ ability to deliver the life-changing impact of sports and physical activity to the children they serve.
The good news is, there is a solution. Good Sports’ mission is to give all kids the lifelong benefits of sport and physical activity by providing new equipment, apparel and footwear to youth organizations in high-need areas, such as Boys & Girls Clubs, YMCAs, schools and more. Alleviating the cost of equipment enables organizations to lower fees and improve their programming. Good Sports began in 2003 with a donation of 500 basketballs to local Boston programs. The organization has since teamed up with additional equipment partners to deliver $34 million dollars’ worth of brand-new equipment to youth organizations in every state – giving over five million kids in need the chance to play!
