In 2017, Audarya Lila dasi and Yuga Dharma dasa accepted an invitation to take over the operation of a fledgling day school in the New Goloka Community in North Carolina. Audarya Lila used her teaching experience from Montessori and Waldorf schools in Denver to transform the educational program in North Carolina and reveal its great potential. Within a year, parents were coming from all over the world, joining the existing families of the school. From one school year to the next, 23 new students had joined the school. We soon realized we needed a larger space.
We plan on building a school that will accommodate up to 100 students and have already bought land in central Hillsborough for this purpose. While we plan and build the new school, we will be in temporary classrooms nearby. We are asking for your help for the students to seamlessly continue their learning in a stable environment during this transition.
Your contribution will be permanent. The yurts we will be using for temporary classrooms will either be sold once the new school is up, and the money put towards the new school, or they will stay as auxiliary classrooms and be put alongside the new school building.
Breakdown of costs:
Site Prep: $3,000
Class Materials: $4,200

This is a cause Vaishnava devotees everywhere can get behind: promoting a happy Krishna-centered environment where children can pray and play, create, and learn. Please give something so the little Vaishnava devotees have a place they can call home.
No donation is too small. Please give what you can. Any and all gifts are appreciated. We thank you from the bottom of our hearts.
