As the home for our Golden Lotus 200-hr RYT training, and the place where our guru Yogacharya J. Oliver founded GLYTA, we; the Golden Lotus Yoga Teachers Association are excited to help support Song of the Morning's Spritiual Homes Project and invite you to help us move this worthy and needed project forward.
About The Spiritual Homes Project: The goal of the Spiritual Homes Project is to construct additional private housing for long-term staff members.
As we continue into a thriving, sustainable future, we recognize that it is critical to have comfortable and suitable housing in order to maintain, attract, and establish a staff of long-term, commited community members.
We have already completed the first of three duplex apartment buildings, and the infrastructure for all three is also in place. To complete the remaining two duplexes, we need to raise $290,000.00. We hope you are willing to help us!
The first of three proposed duplexes was completed this past March, providing private residences to well-deserving staff members. We hope you’ll consider supporting our plans to “grow” our retreat through the construction of private apartment-style lodging for those wishing to serve the retreat and “come stay awhile.”

About Golden Lotus Yoga Teachers Association: GLYTA was originally founded in 1966 under the name Self Realization Fellowship Yoga Teachers Association by Song of the Morning founder J. Oliver Black, known to thousands of Self-Realization Fellowship followers as Yogacharya Oliver. Oliver later changed the organization's name to Golden Lotus Yoga Teachers Association in 1976.
Yogacharya, meaning yoga teacher, was given to him by his Guru, Paramahansa Yogananda, founder of Self-Realization Fellowship and author of the spiritual literary classic, Autobiography of a Yogi.
Golden Lotus Yoga Teachers Association provides Hatha Yoga classes, training, & teacher certification, and has been holding their training sessions at Song of the Morning since their inception.
Their style is a gentle stretching, meditative Hatha Yoga. All of their teachers have been initiated into Kriya Yoga, a sacred pranayama and meditation practice, brought to America by Paramahansa Yogananda. Many of their teachers have over 30 years of teaching experienced and were personally trained by their founder Yogacharya J. Oliver Black.
