FOUNDED IN 1995, ORGANS R US (ORU and Friends 501c3 45-3266453) pledges to:
1. Protect organs by replacing pills with exercise and nutrition (lectures, training),
2. Increasing available organs for transplant for millions worldwide with organ failure,
3. Encourage countries to require citizens to be organ donors unless they Opt-out,
4. Support growth of genetically matched organs eliminating the need for organ donors.
WITH THE TRANSFER of the baton symbolizing the transfer of an organ, US President Bill Clinton signed a GGR shirt during the 1997 GGR for 3-year-old Delaney Corbitt after she received a new kidney. The 2020 GGR is dedicated to Napa County firefighter Ken Oeveren who received a kidney on 1/25/19.
TO SUPPORT 125,000 Americans waiting for transplants (with 20 dying each day), discuss your wishes regarding organ donation with your family and register online to be an organ donor. ORU has no paid executives, officers or directors.
