COVID-19 has turned the world upside down. And still, kids want to play, learn, and just be kids.
Today, more than ever, Golden Gate Fencing Foundation needs your help. Families are hurting. Athletes are hurting. Dreams are hurting.
Golden Gate Fencing Foundation has launched this campaign to provide scholarships for athletes whose families are struggling due to job reductions, layoffs, and health issues; families who have lost income due to the pandemic. Without this support, these fencers will not be able to continue to pursue their dreams of being the best they can be; a fencer, a competitor, a coach, or an Olympian!
Golden Gate Fencing Foundation's mission is to support and create fencing opportunities in the Bay Area and beyond. For the past 20 years, GGFF has supported fencers who lacked the financial resources to learn to fence, join fencing programs, take lessons, compete in tournaments, or participate in fencing summer camps. In 2019, GGFF ran “Learn to Fence” classes for after school programs, reaching over 150 elementary age kids in San Francisco and also hosted the Rochester (MN) STEM Academy women’s fencing team at a week-long summer training camp in San Francisco.
Thank you for helping Golden Gate Fencing Foundation support today’s fencers and future champions.
