Wear Red and Give TODAY to stand up for womens health!
Nearly 80 percent of cardiac events can be prevented, cardiovascular diseases continue to be a woman’s greatest health threat.
This Friday, February 7th, 2020 is the American Heart Association National Wear Red Day. Wear red to raise awareness about cardiovascular disease and save lives. Who will you be wearing red for?
WHY I AM WEARING RED:
Heart disease runs on both side of my family. There is not a day that goes by where I don't think about it. Unfortunately all of my grandparents and my father passed away of heart disease.
Less than 2 years ago I was lying in a hospital bed in the ER with a doctor standing over me and telling me something I didn't want to hear. Things needed to change ASAP. I DON'T want heart disease to own me, which is why I try to exercise ways to prevent it.
I want people to join me in learning the causes and prevention of heart disease. It is important to me that everyone knows the signs and symptoms of a Heart Attack and Stroke. I will be doing desk drops at work educating my peers on warning signs of heart attack, stroke & cardiac arrest.
