We, the Brothers of Phi Delta Theta, Michigan Delta, are hosting our annual GM to GMI Run on May 19th, 2018. This 62 mile relay run will begin Saturday morning at the GM Renaissance Center in downtown Detroit, and conclude at central campus of Kettering University (formerly known as GMI).
All Donations go toward The LiveLikeLou Foundation. LiveLikeLou was founded in 2011 by Neil & Suzanne Alexander after Neil's diagnosis with Lou Gehrig's Disease. This incredible organization is focused on raising awareness of ALS (Amyotrophic Lateral Sclerosis, or Lou Gehrig's Disease), supporting scientific research targeted at finding a cure, and providing care for ALS patients and their families. Although Neil Alexander lost his battle with ALS on March 24th. 2015, his legacy lives on through the philanthropic efforts of the organization he co-founded.
We have chosen this foundation because Lou Gehrig himself was a brother of Phi Delta Theta when he attended Columbia University until 1923. In addition, we strongly desire to aid current and future patients and their families in the most effective way possible, which we truly believe this foundation embodies.
