Super Typhoon Mangkhut (known locally as Ompong) has made landfall with winds as high as 170 miles an hour. This fund will support relief efforts in the form of emergency supplies like food, water, and medicine. If necessary, this fund will also support longer-term recovery assistance to help residents recover and rebuild. All donations to this fund will exclusively support Super Typhoon Mangkhut preparation, relief, and recovery efforts in the Philippines.
A government official estimates the storm impacted 5.7 million people in the Philippines. Now, distributing rice and other emergency supplies to the hardest-hit areas is a major concern because of deadly flooding and mudslides.
