Hope - the one thing that young African entrepreneurs across big cities, small towns, and rural areas all have in common. Whether it’s starting a new business or career, their passion and will to succeed is driven by a shared vision for thriving communities.
But running on hope isn’t enough. Entrepreneurs and innovators are in need of support and mentorship from those who have ventured out on the path before them, they need the help of other successful businessmen and women.
Global Impact Summit (GIS) is an open space for startup communities, tech enthusiasts and innovators to come together and collectively strengthen the startup entrepreneurship ecosystem in Africa.

GIS Planning Team
The Global Impact Summit (GIS) is independently organized by the Institute for Social Advancement (ISA), a New York based non-profit founded in 2011 and Vertex Summit, a London based company.
The Institute for Social Advancement (ISA) is a New York based non-profit with the mission to help communities whose access to necessities is limited. We are working with marginalized communities throughout Africa. Our principles are to foster sustainability and strategic partnerships by addressing social inequalities that adversely impact communities throughout the developing nations in Africa.
The Vertex creates an entrepreneurial ecosystem, starting with a local summit, that aims to help entrepreneurs solidify their ideas and build a strong foundation for their startup journey. Our goal is to build a platform that makes startups more robust to challenges by creating the right support infrastructure through education and strategic partners, coaches and mentors. The Vertex kicks off with a 2 day entrepreneurship summit including various keynotes, workshops, startup pitches and an opportunity to challenge mindsets, showcase startups and spark the formation of new teams and partnerships
