I am truly humbled to have the opportunity to run the Boston Marathon (April 2020), in order to raise money for the Glen Doherty Memorial Foundation. I first learned of Glen after the September 11, 2012 attack in Benghazi, Libya. In the days and months following, I learned the characteristics that defined Glen: selfless, loyal, humble, and patriotic. After having the opportunity to work alongside numerous guys who knew Glen over the years, I quickly learned that Glen was the type of guy that no media outlet or video can truly do justice. After hearing about his “larger than life” personality and the “love for his teammates, family, and friends”, It becomes obvious why I wanted to focus my efforts on raising money for The Glen Doherty Memorial Foundation.
There are men/women among us today, cut from the same cloth as Glen, who depend on your support. Like Glen, they are selfless, hardworking, patriotic, innovative. I have no doubt that these men and women will go on to change the world after transitioning out of the military and into the civilian sector. I am incredibly grateful that you have taken the time to check out this page, support our efforts, and learn more about Glen and the Glen Doherty Memorial Foundation.
*Please see below for more information about this years fundraising needs and GDMF scholars.
"Team GDMF Boston needs your support! We have ambitious fundraising goals in 2020 to keep up with the demand for our scholarships. We received 47 applications for our Scholarship program in the spring of 2019. We were only able to award 16 scholarships and wish we could do more!
Your contributions to this marathon campaign will help us bridge the funding gap. Your dollars will go right to work in helping our nation's soldiers transition to new careers post military.
Our scholars are forever grateful for the support. To see our latest class of talented scholars, please see our website. They are an impressive bunch!
Thank you for donating to the Glen Doherty Memorial Foundation!"
