In less than 30 days, I will run the 2019 Boston Marathon, my 2nd, on behalf of the Glen Doherty Memorial Foundation (GDMF). I run to honor, Special Operations Soldier, Glen Doherty and his undeniable spirit for adventure and zeal for life.
What inspires me to train and run 26.2 miles, Glen inspires me and you do too! GDMF needs your support. Glen, a former Navy SEAL, was one of four Americans killed in a terror attack in Benghazi, Libya in September 2012. I will train with fortitude to honor a "master warrior" who defended our great nation and lost his life protecting and defending American freedom. His passion for learning and adventure are represented through his incredible Foundation.
I am committed to raise funds to afford Special Operation professionals and their families an opportunity to further succeed and continue to self-improve as civilians through scholarships! This past spring GDMF received 23 applications - the largest pool of scholarship candidates to date! Demand is growing and your contribution will directly support GDMF Scholars.
Running for these families and on behalf of Glen’s service is a privilege. I encourage you to watch the short video in the slide show above to hear from a Scholar and join me in support of Team GDMF.
THANK YOU for your donation! Your generosity will go right to work in helping our nation's soldiers transition to new careers and new family life. Together, we can inspire and promote duty and integerity along our race to the finish line and GIVE BACK to our service men and women! I look foward to running across the finish line feeling your support and generosity. You made this all possible because you care!
