Giving Tuesday is a global day of giving and unity that has been bumped up to May 5th this year as an emergency response to the impacts of COVID-19.
As an organization that has been prioritizing hand hygiene for the last seven years, we need to have a presence when crisis strikes in our own backyard.
This Giving Tuesday, with your support, we aim to raise funds for our critical, life-saving COVID-19 relief work in India.
We are working with our partners at Gabriel Project Mumbai to provide: 2-week emergency food relief packages for 800 families in dire need of food assistance. These are families that we have relationships with and who have approaced us directly asking us for support.
In addition we are providing educational pamphlets teaching families what COVID-19 is and how to practice social distancing; bar and liquid soap; gallons of hand sanitizer; meals for doctors and nurses at COVID-19 designated hospitals; face masks for police officers and front-line workers; hand washing stations outside of rural hospitals in Palghar district.
Thank you for your generosity as we continue to work in the communities we have served for 7 years. We truly are in this together.
*A special thank you to our partners at SoapBox Soaps, who will be matching up to $10,000! All donations made over the next 24 hrs will have DOUBLE the impact!*
