The coronavirus impact has been causing a financial blow to many charities, ours included. While our costs of providing shelter, food and medical care to our shelter cats and strays we care for on the streets remained during the past 2 months the same - and they even increased – the possibilities for incoming funds shrunk practically to non-existent. With people closing their wallets to take care of themselves, the necessity to suspend all charity event fundraising, necessity to pause our re-homing program due to the travel restrictions and our shelter running on the full capacity, our mission will be difficult to keep operational without a help from our community.
Educating communities globally is an equally important part of our mission. Our SMART Family animated video series are teaching about animal welfare through the family’s experiences and it is a great educational program for those that have virtual learning. This online program can continue once schools are reopened and children will resume back to the classrooms. In order to continue to create our SMART Family video series we need financial resources to cover their production costs.
Raised funds from this campaign will make a following difference:
- we will be able to cover costs for operating our rescue shelter in the Attika region (rent, utilities, cleaning products, hygienic supplies for our Team and volunteers etc.)
- we will be able to purchase cat food and litter
- we will be able to pay for the medical bills and necessary medical treatments of our shelter cats and strays as they come in need
- we will be able to promote and continue producing our global SMART Family animated video series teaching about many important subjects relating to animal welfare
