You can make a difference for Fairbanks Arts today.
Fairbanks Arts shut the doors to our gallery in mid-March to help keep our community safe amidst the COVID-19 crisis and has since been working remotely. This came after our organization experienced a loss in revenue during a period of displacement from our permanent facility at Pioneer Park. As a nonprofit organization, Fairbanks Arts relies on a combination of gallery revenue and donations to sustain our operations and continue serving our community. While our spring fundraising efforts were put in a bind by current circumstances, we are now joining nonprofits around the world for #GivingTuesdayNow and are asking you to support Fairbanks Arts today.
#GivingTuesdayNow is a new global day of giving and unity that will take place on May 5, 2020 – it is an emergency response to the unprecedented need caused by COVID-19. When you support Fairbanks Arts, you are making sure there is a team of people at your community arts organization who are working with artists, facilitating programs and services, advocating for the arts, and promoting a creative community.
Navigating leadership of an arts nonprofit feels especially delicate at the moment given there are so many new levels of need the world is facing. For over 50 years Fairbanks Arts has formed and reformed itself; evolving based on what the need of our community has been. While COVID-19 has temporarily reduced our staff capacity and introduced further unexpected financial strain, our commitment to you is that your community arts organization will be here and ready for those conversations. We love our community.
Please consider supporting Fairbanks Arts' #GivingTuesdayNow fundraiser in whatever way you are able, every little bit helps. Your gift will support the team at Fairbanks Arts and keeping the bills paid. Thank you for showing some love to Fairbanks Arts during this challenging time; our dedicated crew is grateful for the support and, as ever, appreciates the opportunity to serve our community.
