Giving Tuesday is a special day to recognize the thousands of wonderful non profits doing great deeds and great works every single day. Grateful Hearts is just one of many to consider.
GHSDR has been around since 2015. Since that time, we have rescued well over 400 dogs, medically challenged, hospice, compassionate rescues...we are very small, very personal. Every dog we rescue from the day they join us, has the home they deserved from the time they were born. They get love, attention, all medical needs addressed, their own dog bed, the best diet available for their needs. They know nothing but love, kindness, compassion, from that day on. All are success stories no matter how long their time with us.
Rudy is a perfect example. Rudy is a symbol of GHSDR's success in restoring an old, tumor-plagued, depressed dog into one that can move freely, explore his world, and be happy and without pain. He's a reason to be proud of the work we do and the effort we expend in restoring some kind of normal to these throw-away, neglected and abused seniors.
Please consider donating to a rescue devoted to helping as many hospice dogs we can responsibly rescue. Especially now, with the Covid crisis affecting so many functions that impact our fundraising efforts.
We are a small, foster based senior hospice dog rescue in Chillicothe Ohio. Typically our dogs come from euthanasia lists from shelters both in Ohio and in Texas. All have extreme medical issues, life ending diagnosed issues, and recieve the best medical care and loving home they could dream for. No matter how long they are with us, it is an success. Their past is gone and wiped from their mind, as soon as they enter our homes.
