We are raising funds to support our community.
It takes a community to heal a community. At the North Valley Community Foundation, we believe in helping the helpers.
Since the Camp Fire, thanks to donors, we have granted more than $34 million for community recovery via the Butte Strong Fund, Camp Fire Relief Fund and donor-designated funds. At the same time, we have deployed $700,000 in grants in response to the COVID-19 crisis. That includes a donation of $250,000 from our operating fund so the county’s Public Health Department can buy coronavirus testing equipment. We’ve issued nearly $200,000 in grants to dozens of organizations, focusing on homeless shelters, food pantries, children’s services and P.P.E production for our local hospitals.
Green Bay Packers quarterback Aaron Rodgers gave $50,000 through his fund at NVCF to help children and families cope with coronavirus impacts.
We care deeply about the communities, families, children and service organizations we are able to help. Our staff size has not changed but the size of our hearts has grown. We are grateful for the ingenuity of our community, which has spent the last year and a half rebuilding after the Camp Fire and now faces a second challenge. Please help us help the helpers.
Thank you for your support and investment in our communities!
