"What starts here, changes everything." #WCPSS
That is our experience with Frankie Lemmon School. Through the loving community of teachers, therapists, and staff our lives have changed as we begin to know Lyla as she would like us to know her. In our gratitude, we ask that if you are looking for a place to donate this year, consider this school and bring miracles to another family!
Hans Christiann Andersen said "When words fail, music speaks." We have chosen a goal of $1000 because Lyla's favorite day of the week is Music Therapy day - music reaches her soul and we are so grateful for the many opportunties she has at Frankie Lemmon. You can read about those below:
Tuesday, December 3rd is touted as the “official" international day of giving. Please join us during this season of ThanksGIVING as we ask for your support and partnership to raise $135,000 for Frankie Lemmon School (FLS).
This is your opportunity to help us grow our Frankie Lemmon tree. Currently FLS has 80 students ranging in ages 3-6. The quality of care and dedication of our service providers is what allows our children to thrive! The school only receives 25% of the funds needed to support the school from the State of NC, which leaves the rest up to generous donors like yourselves. It cost roughly $25,000 to fund one student annually to attend Frankie Lemmon.
Here is what your donation can provide:
$25 – Adapted Eating Utensils
$50 – Therapeutic Pressure Vest
$100 – Adapted Chair
$250 – GoTalk Communication Aid
$500 – Materials for Teacher Resource Room
$750 – Field trip (our students love Hill Ridge Farms!)
$1,000 – 1 Day of Music Therapy for the school
$2,500 – Entire year of Educational Supplies for a classroom
$5,000 – SMART board for adaptive learning
$10,000 – Provides feeding therapy for 8 students for 2 months
