This year's Giving Tuesday campaign will go towards our exciting new exhibit, the Science and Technology of Measurement - trust us, it'll be fun. This year, we will send out American Precision Museum denim ballcaps to those who donate a minimum of $50 as a token of our appreciation.
(The caps were donated to the museum for this purpose - so this is limited to the first 25 donors!)
At the American Precision Museum, we are the bridge between the machines of yesterday and the technologies of tomorrow.
Preserving the Heritage of the Mechanical Arts
Our building is a preserved 19th century armory and factory building and a world-class collection of historic machines. The 1846 armory building, the “Shaping America” exhibition anda ccompanying programs explore industrial history in the context of innovation and creative problemsolving. APM is the story-teller of the machines and people which have formed the foundation and inspire the future of the manufacturing industry in America.
The Future of American Manufacturing
For over 53 years the APM has told the story of American manufacturing and the impacts it has had on our society. As we move into a new technological age, APM must continue to inspire excitement, curiosity and enthusiasm for the manufacturing industry.
Inspiring New Generations of Innovators
Our goal is to inspire new generations to go beyond being passive users of technology and instead become reflective and analytical thinkers, inventive makers, and social leaders. APM programs are guided by our mission statement and grounded in our site: the historic building and its environment, the significant machine tool collection, and their historic and modern connections to manufacturing today.
