Well, this year has been one for the books, things most have never seen in their lifetime and most we hope to never see again.
With all the uncertainty in the world, fundraising has been more of a challenge than ever before. We are ever so thankful and blessed for those who have been able to help with our needs, daily costs and unexpected things have arise.
Giving Tuesday this year will focus on 3 things, 1 is to clear up outstanding bills, which do not total a significant amount, 2 installing an outdoor arena, 3 is adding a play yard for new arrival dogs where they can be evaluated for foster and forever homes in a safe and secure manner.
A new outdoor arena will give potential adopters a safe place to handle and ride a horse they are interested in adopting. This will consist of secure fencing, drainage and safe and secure footing. A place where horses who are new to riding can start training and rehabilitation in preparation for their next .
A new play yard for the dogs will consist of fencing that is no climb and eliminates the ability to escape, this is especially important for the breeder releases who are so very scared and a huge flight risk. It will also contain some play obstacles to encourage them to explore while working on confidence building.
These items can tremendously improve the adoptability and quality of lives for the animals in our care.
