Code in the Schools was founded in 2013 to empower underserved Baltimore City youth to thrive in the 21st Century by expanding access to computer science education. We started as two instructors teaching 20 students after school. Five years later, we’ve grown to almost 30 instructors teaching over 8,000 students across the city! In just the past year, the amount of students we’re teaching has doubled.
As impressive as this number sounds, it represents only 10% of Baltimore’s youth. We need your support to expand our reach to provide many more Baltimore youth with access to computer science education. This Giving Tuesday, please consider making a donation to Code in the Schools - your contribution makes a difference in the lives of our students.
This year, your donation will be matched by a generous sponsor. This is an opportunity to leverage your dollar and make it count as double! We hope you’ll consider making a gift that is an investment in the community and the future.
We’re so grateful to our loyal community of supporters that has enabled us to serve so many students. Thank you!
