Thanks to YOU, the beautiful new Girls Dormitory opened earlier this year. Now we are reaching out to YOU, once more, and hope YOU will help build the desperately needed new dorm for the boys at JPSS.
As John Paul Secondary School completes its twelth year of educating the children in Chelekura, we're excited and blessed as we look back to 2007 when the doors first opened to a meager class of just 14 wide-eyed students. From that day until now, it has been a story of continuous growth. The JPSS campus now includes the nine-classroom school, a small boys dorm, a Kitchen, the Daryl Wittich Science Center (Chemistry, Biology & Physics labs), Computer Lab (with it's own solar system for power), an on campus bore hole, newly constructed Glen-Dorie Teacher Housing, new modern latrines, a new incinerator and most recently, the new 160 bed Girls Dormitory.
Today the campus is alive and thriving with enrollment averaging 250 students annually. But, that too is about to change! JPSS was recently approved by the Ugandan Ministry of Education and Sports as an "O" & "A" Level Secondary School. This means in addition to having grades Senior-1 thru Senior-4, we'll now also have Senior-5 and Senior-6. This is an enormous achievement, one that is not easily attained! We're extremely proud and looking forward to welcoming more and more new students to JPSS in 2019.
We knew "if we'd build it, they would come". So, we did and they are!! We're expecting an increased enrollment next year which makes it imperative that we build a new dorm for the boys, similar to the one we have for the girls. This is a major undertaking and that's why we're reaching out to YOU! We can't do this alone. WE NEED YOUR HELP!!
We invite YOU to share in this wonderful opportunity to help provide a safe place where students can live and study, while they pursue thier education at JPSS!
They're counting on YOU!
Thank YOU and God bless YOU!
