THE STORY:
You can give gift the gift of family this holiday season. This Giving Tuesday help us reach our goal of raising $30,000 to fund two loans for the Feit 4 KidZ Fertility Loan Fund at Jewish Free Loan. Your donation directly supports loans that help pay for the treatments those struggling with infertility need to build their families. All gifts will be matched dollar for dollar by Alan and Emily Feit. Thank you to Dr. Felicia Ota and Dr. Robert Boostanfar for their generous $10,000 kickoff donation.
Meet Feit 4 KidZ Loan Recipient Gina| Gina had attempted to get pregnant for several years with no success. She and her husband tried everything from acupuncture to artificial insemination but nothing seemed to work. Gina could not imagine life without children, so her doctor recommended she pursue in-vitro fertilization (IVF), a treatment that can cost $20,000 per attempt.
Gathering their resources, the couple decided to give IVF a try. Unfortunately, their first attempt was not successful. Their second attempt resulted in a brief pregnancy that did not last. They were devastated. Their finances were running low. Attempting IVF for a third time would mean coming up with another $20,000.
It was then that Gina turned to the Jewish Free Loan Association, where she was approved for a Feit 4 KidZ Fertility Loan. Eliminating the financial stress lifted a huge burden. Gina now felt emotionally ready for a third attempt. The procedure was successful and nine months later Gina gave birth to two heathy girls, who are currently three years old.
"I hope my story helps people never to give up on having children. I was so close to giving up and then I got the loan and a miracle happened."
THANK YOU for your support!
