Your donation will be matched dollar for dollar, up to $12,000. Give today to double your impact.
JW is a veteran who found healing through the arts. Seeing other veterans suffering, he wanted to do something for them, but he needed help. Through National Initiative, JW got free access to the tools he needed to help others create healing arts programs that meet the unique and special needs of veterans, their families, and caregivers.
For thousands of veterans and servicemembers like JW, access to healing arts programs make the difference. Whether its aiding recovery from physical or psychological wounds of war or giving them the opportunity to express themselves and share their story, the arts deliver powerful healing.
The National Initiative for Arts & Health in the Military bridges the arts, health, and military worlds. With your support, it connects likeminded practitioners; advances research; and offers an array of services from a free directory to assist veterans in finding creative arts programs to deep technical assistance for arts professionals.
The services provided through the National Initiative are free. They’re free because of generous people like you.
Veterans and servicemembers with opportunities to access healing arts programs are better able to cope with post-traumatic stress, traumatic brain injury, and depression. Since our work with the National Initiative began in 2012, thousands of people have asked for our help to make this healing possible. Thousands more are still in need.
Make a difference. Give today; your donation goes twice as far.
