I have had a beautifully imperfect life. It has been messy, sometimes hard, and always full of laughter. Even in the midst of some of my lowest lows, there has always been a small glimpse of hope for the future to come.
Not everyone can say the same.
There have been almost 60 million children who have died from abortion in the United States alone since legalization in 1973, There is an estimated 60% of the mothers of those babies who have been coerced or forced into abortion. Unsurprisingly, the majority of abortions are performed on women aged 18-24.
That narrative is appalling.
This #GivingTuesday I am raising money for a beautiful outreach, Project Rosie, that helps college-aged women find the support and resources they need to choose life. It empowers them and equips them not only to reject abortion, but rise above their circumstances. It is their glimpse of hope.
It is my personal goal to be that hope for women who are facing lonely, challenging circumstances. Their stories have not ended in the wake of unplanned pregnancy, but jsut begun. It only takes $0.12 to reach a student with this outreach. That is why I am asking those in my circle to pull together and raise $240 to reach 2,000 students on college campuses. 2,000 students with messy, sometimes hard lives that need a glimpse of hope. Even if one life is saved and one is spared the pain of abortion, it is worth it.
Project Rosie has only been around for one year, but it has already saved lives! Please join me in changing the narrative about unplanned pregnancy in college. Every gift counts if we pull together.
Everyone deserves a birthday. Join me in giving life this #GivingTuesday season.
