Please help me raise Funds for South Sudan, Somalia, and Myanmar.
1. The vast majority (over 80 percent) of those fleeing South Sudan are women and children, with children making up 63 percent of the total South Sudanese refugee population. They are survivors of violent attacks, sexual assault and, in many cases, children have been separated from their parents and are traveling alone.
2. Since October 2019, flooding caused by heavy rainfall has affected 536,000 people and destroyed farmland, agricultural produce, and infrastructure in Somalia. About 2.6 million Somalis live in protracted internal displacement according to the UN, facing serious abuses, including indiscriminate killings, forced evictions, sexual violence, and limited access to basic services.
3. More than 700,000 Rohingya refugees from Myanmar have fled to Bangladesh. Rohingya children and families desperately need our help. As a stateless Muslim minority group in Myanmar, they have faced discrimination, violence and extreme poverty for decades.
Lets give back to those in need this Eid!
Dhul Hijjah is the 12th month of the Islamic calendar, and with it brings the 10 best days of the year! In this sacred month, the Hajj, the day of Arafah and Eid al-Adha all take place. With the chance to grow closer to Allah (swt) and gain his many blessings, this month, and most importantly the first ten days of it, are vital to Muslims everywhere!
During this time, the good deeds you do are warmly received by Allah (swt) and in turn are rewarded greatly. Allah encourages us to give charity and care for the poor because these are acts that He loves.
