Give2Friends Foundation, also known as G2F, is a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization created by students and adults who wish to give back to both their immediate and global communities.
Our mission is to gather a collective force to provide any form of assistance to aid other organizations and charities through monetary funds and services. We aspire to instill a sense of responsibility, accomplishment, character, and self-discipline within the student committee. This foundation works to create a constructive, social environment for students, promote teamwork, respect members, and appreciate the community by supporting altruistic organizations.
G2F is currently supporting three main projects; Baby Box, English education camps in Japan, and support of Korean-American foster children.
With a strong Korean stigma around single or young mothers, many mothers end up abandoning their newborn infants. Baby Box, a non-profit organization based in Gwanak-gu, South Korea, was created so that these mothers could discreetly drop off their unwanted newborns without facing shame from the public.
Your contributions will help fund the various supplies that G2F will be providing to Baby Box to care of these orphans and to help Baby Box support single mothers. Members of G2F will be visiting the Baby Box from August 3rd to August 9th, 2019 to deliver the funds collected and to care for the orphans.
Help for those affected by 2011 Japan Tsunami
Fukushima, Japan was struck by a tsunami in 2011, causing a nuclear meltdown. As a result, the town was decimated and many were left without basic needs, such as shelters and education.
In order to aid the local community, G2F will be going to Iwaki from July 23rd to August 2nd. Your contributions will go towards running day camps for the disabled and towards teaching English to children. Additionally, the money raised will go towards funding a cafe that will provide food and drinks to those affected by the nuclear meltdown.
Los Angeles County Asian Foster Children
In order to alleviate the culture shock that Asian individuals may experience, the Korean American Family Services, a non-profit organization, provides assistance to Asians in Los Angeles County. KFAM provides various different services, such as counseling, education, and other social services. G2F particularly focuses on the services that KFAM provides to help foster children of Los Angeles County. Your contributions will go towards the various gift and donations that we give to the KFAM foster children annually, which include, but are not limited to, blankets, care packs that contain essentials, and pajamas.
Thank you for supporting us! Your contributions are welcome and are greatly appreciated! 😊
