During this week of Channukah while we celebrate and acknowledge the people, places and communities that bring light into the world, we will be launching our first matching campaign, “Give Thanks To Base.”
We are creating this campaign to reach a wider network of Basers to give back to Base.
This campaign’s aim is to have as many people who have experienced Base to give back to the community, and to get those individuals who have never given to Base in the past, to make a first contribution.
In exciting news, we have secured matchings grant, meaning that:
**gifts to Base will be matched dollar for dollar up to $14,300!**
If you give:
$100 x 2 = $200 for Base
$500 x 2 = $1000 for Base
$1000 x 2 = $2000 for Base... you get it!
To sustain one Baser, it costs approximately $8 a week. That's $32 a month, or just a little more than $1 per day.
We know that not every Baser can sustain the full cost of their own involvement, but we do hope that each person will make a contribution to the community that is meaningful to them.
Let's take a Shabbat dinner for example:
the cost of a meal for one person is approximately $30. But let's be honest... that plate's cost doesn't include partially covering the cost of the Base homes for hosting events and celebrations, the Rabbi's salaries (they can't only eat Shabbat leftovers), and everything else that allows Base to be so - Base-y.
Thank you for supporting Base with your actions. We deeply appreciate your commitment to our growing community committed to radical hospitality, learning and growth, friendship and service.
