Abigail Victoria Cate would have turned 24 on Valentine's Day. Her family and friends mourned the loss of her to a car accident in January. This campaign was created in memory of our dearest Abby. All donations will go to the Red Cross of Tennessee. We have chosen the Red Cross because Abby's mother, Glynda, was a true samaritian who volunteered for the Red Cross. Abby admired and loved her mother, who she lost in 2019. It seems perfect that the donations would go to an organization that helps, supports, and gives back to others just as Glynda and Abby did.
This campaign is called Give Like Abby because Abby gave generously in many ways. All her friends knew she would tip waiters 50%, she would randomly bring you coffee at work, or be there for whatever else you needed. She gave to so many people becuase she knew it wouldn't just make their day, but hers as well. Abby knew that everyone goes through struggles and that any gesture, no matter how big or small, could make all the difference in the world. We know that Abby would want us to try to make a difference in her name.
Abby believed that everything was written as God intended and every star aligns. She believed everything happens for a reason and that the people you meet are no accident. She wanted to know people and what they were about and would generously share her own story with others. Abby could turn any day into a good one. She was the most grateful, giving, understanding, caring, and energetic person most of us have ever known. Maktub, Abby, it is written.
Abby's friends have created two stickers in her memory. We are putting them on our cars to keep Abby close by and to remind us that every time we get into our cars that life is precious. Love you, TA and KT
