I am so excited to be running the Boston Marathon this year and supporting Girls on the Run. This will be my first time running the Boston Marathon, as well as my first marathon!
Running has been a major part of my life as far back as I can remember. I joined the track team in middle school, ran throughout high school, and have continued to do road races up until this day. As I have gotten older, my passion and discipline in running is something I cherish. This independence and confidence in running wouldn’t have been possible if it weren’t for the formative experiences of my youth on Cross Country and Track teams. Running has taught me hard work, perseverance, and the importance of community. Being a part of a larger organization where you feel supported is so important during the adolescent ages. That is why I want to support an organization that fosters these ideals in their members. I want all girls to experience the benefits of running and exercise, especially in an environment that promotes joy.
Thank you so much for your contribution!
