Nationally, we’re 2.6 million strong—1.8 million girls and 800,000 adults who believe in the power of every girl to change the world. In eastern Massachusetts, we’re 45,000 strong—30,000 girls and 15,000 adults.
GSEMA has a mission to ensure that every girl in eastern Massachusetts has access to Girl Scouting, and the many benefits that come from an all-girl, girl-led experience. In order to achieve this goal, GSEMA created Community Programs: a free Girl Scout experience specifically serving girls in under-resourced communities.
As part of the John Hancock Marathon Non-Profit Program, Team Girl Scouts will run the 2019 Boston Marathon and raise funds for Community Programs.
If you believe in the power of every girl, and want to make a difference in the lives of young female leaders, consider supporting Team Girl Scouts' efforts on behalf of Girl Scouts of Eastern Massachusetts’ Community Programs. You will be part of our team’s overarching message to today’s girls that every girl can benefit from Girl Scouting, no matter the challenges they face.
