Girl Scouts means a lot to our family. We have three generations of girl scouts in our family. My mom is a Girl Scout (co-leader of Lilly's troop and a gold award mentor), I am a Girl Scout (leader of Lilly's troop), and now Lilly is a Girl Scout. Lilly and I are so excited to be volunteering at the Hardford Marathon this year. Lilly is going to run the KidFit run.
Girl Scouts prepares girls for a lifetime of leadership, success and adventure. Being involved in Girl Scouts helped me become the person I am today. I had an amazing leader when I was in Girl Scouts. We went over seas to international camps. Girl Scouts are bold, go-getters and #RaceForGSGold to support Gold Award project mini grants and college scholarships for our Gold Award Girl Scouts.
I earned my Gold Award when I was a senior in high school. My project was to educated girls on wider opportunities in girls. I shared my experineces of going to international camps with girls. I also did works shops with girls to earn badges related to learning about travel and wider opportunities in Girl Scouts. My mom currently is a mentor for girls earning there Gold Awards. The projects that the girls are working on are amazing.
Girl Scouts take action to have a sustainable impact in our communities, and are leaders who are changing the world.
Lilly and I are excited to be a part of Girl Scouts of CT #RaceForGSGold.
