Ginger was found running in the middle of a 4 lane Highway with her buddy. Luck for them, her finder was a board member from Second Chance Dog Rescue who quickly hopped out of her car in the middle of the road to get them before they were hit. She brought them home and advertised them as lost all over the internet and town. She was told by several people that they roamed all the time, and was even told that someone informed the owner that she had them, but Ginger and her friend was never claimed. She was also terrified to come in the house and leary of men, so we believe that she won the lottery when we found her. After the required 5 day Stray hold Ginger and her friend were both spayed and Heartworm tested. Unfortunately, but not surprisingly, this baby girl tested a strong positive for Heartworms. Treatment is expensive, time consuming, and pretty rough, but Ginger is worth it. Her previous owner may not have cared about her, but we love this couch potato, and we will do everything it takes to heal her and find her a forever home who truly appreciates her extremely loving personality. Please, if you're able, help us pay for Ginger's treatment. Even $1 will make a world of difference for Ginger.
